Q- What are the differences between the different vinyl siding thicknesses?
A- Vinyl siding comes in a wide range of thicknesses – from roughly .035” to .052” thick. Siding that is thinner is generally less durable, doesn’t last as long, and is the cheaper option. The thinnest vinyl siding that is typically used is called “builder’s grade” siding and it’s .040” thick.
